Runakunaq Wasin has as one of its greatest strengths a team well aquainted
with the children of the street, and with wide professional experience in
each of their areas of concentration. Luz Marina Figueroa Arias – Director of the Institution and Responsible for the Project: Graduate in Sociology in the National Major University of San Marcos of Lima, with post-graduate studies at the Catholic University of Peru, and courses of Agriculture Ecology at the University of San José de Costa Rica. Luz Marina has 25 years of experience working with social development projects for the neediest people of cities and rural areas of Peru, with national and international organizations, developing and coordinating programs of public attendance, homes for children and adolescents and planning activities promoting rural development. She has also been a professor at the Universities San Martín de Porres and Inca Garcilazo de la Vega in the city of Lima and a professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University National San Antonio Abad in Cusco. |

Jens Laurits Sorensen: He was born in Odense, Denmark in 1960, and studied in the University of Dalum, Odense, obtaining a Master´s Degree in Agriculture in 1983. He has traveled throughout Asia, USA, Europe and he has lived in Peru since 1995. Through his travels he has aquired experience and familiarity with the problems of children worldwide. Principal founder of IRW, he is now General Coordinator of the Inti Runakunaq Wasin project. He is an environmentalist and teacher in the techniques of REIKI. |

| Rene Quispe: Technical male nurse, with studies at the Institute Superior Tecnológico Antonio Raymondi in Cusco completed in 1992. His experience with children and adolescents has allowed him to carry out tasks of re-education, after working as a voluntary male nurse in the Center of Readaptación of Menores Marcavalle of Cusco for more than four years. There he acquired experience in the treatment of young people with antisocial behaviour. He has also worked in the Chincheros Hospital and for four years was the Educational Coordinator for the Children and Adolescents of Santiago- INABIF Cusco. Rene formally joined the team of Inti Runakunaq Wasin in February of 2000. | |
| Eufemia Huamán: Social worker with studies completed at the Universidad Andina in 1998. Her experience comes of having worked in two centers for the young people of Cusco between 1998-2000, and at IRW beginning in August of 2000. Apart of her work in the IRW House, Eufemia does social work in the suburb zones of Cusco, visiting the houses of the children that have been abandoned in the streets. When a child comes injured or sick to IRW, she birings him/her to the hospital for treatment, with the bill covered by IRW. |

| Nila Salas Arce: Profesor of cooking and confectionary, Nila graduated as a teacher from the Escuela Normal Superior María Auxiliadora of Puno, with a specialty in Techniques of Secondary Eduction. She has completed several courses of specialization in pastry- and bread-making. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience at the Educational Center Diego Quispe Tito and at the Clorinda Matto of Turner. Nila has wide experience in teaching ocupational skills to mothers and adolescents, in urban and rural environments. She has actively participated in the formation of clubs for mothers and juveniles in the district of San Sebastián, including social work with the Educational Center Diego Wanted Tito. Her high professionalism and qualification in confectionary is well-known in the city of Cusco. Nila has also specialized in Educación para la Fé. Her contribution to IRW includes not only the occupational development of children, but also the development of personal spirituality. | |
| Nilda Julieta Mejía Zamalloa – Reforzamiento y nivelación escolar: Nilda is a teacher who graduated from the Escuela Normal Superior María Auxiliadora de Puno, with a specialty in Techniques of Secondary Eduction. She has 26 years of teaching experience in educational centers of the city of Quillabamba, educational center Uriel García of Cusco, and educational center 50029 of Wanchaq, Cusco. Her experience includes the participation in several courses at the primary level. | |
| Cirilo Quin Porroa - Artes manuales en cuero: Professor of Shoe-Making, he earned professional accreditation at Ceos of the city, with wide experience in the art of the footwear and handiworks in leather. Professional experience in the occupotional education of adolescents and children in homes and at work centers of the city. He now teaches at a shoe workshop for children and adolescents at the INABIF in Cusco. He also volunteers as a teacher two days per week at IRW. |

| Claudio Casa Diaz - Carpintería: Professor of Carpentery, he has wide professional experience in wood-working. He now teaches at a carpentry workshop for children and adolescents at the INABIF in Cusco. He helps IRW in their "Workshop for Carpenters" project. | |
| Giannina Loayza Peña – Manualidades: Graduated from the School of Education at the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco in 1997, with a specialty in Social Sciences. She has a Bachellor's Degree in History from the Faculty in Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco. She also has conducted technical studies at Educational Centers, including such manual arts as: cold ceramics, recycled materials, fabrics and handiworks in general. Giannina has 4 years of teaching experience as an integral tutor at the Home for Children and Adolescents, Santiago of the INABIF in Cusco. She has taught at the school Fortunato L. Herrera, at the CEO Sacred Heart of Jesus and at the CEO Clorinda Matto of Turner. A year ago she joinged the team of Inti Runakunaq Wasin, and has made valuable contributions to the workshops. | |
| Lissete Karen Cano Collantes - Psicóloga: Internal of the Carrera Profesional de Psicología from the Universidad Adina del Cusco. She is responsible for the programs of "Self Development" and "Development of Personality" at IRW. |
